Aberdeen have been linked with a move for midfielder Tonio Teklic.
The Croat is entering the final year of his contract at FK Varazdin, who are reluctantly resigned to cashing in on him this summer to avoid losing the player for nothing in a year’s time. Teklic has also made it clear he's keen to move on for a new challenge in the close season, which is somewhat forcing his club’s hand.
That could benefit the Dons, who have a serious interest in the 23-year-old, according to Germanijak. Barry Robson has a Euro bounty to play with after finishing third in the Scottish Premiership, and Celtic's Scottish Cup triumph means they are guaranteed to be in the group stage of the Europa Conference League at the very worst, scooping the £5million jackpot that comes with it. Aberdeen will need to bolster their squad to cope with the demands of a European schedule on top of their domestic commitments.
The Croatian Under 23 international could well fit the bill, especially with the future of Liverpool loanee Leighton Clarkson unclear.
