Tom Lawrence has been spotted at Rangers pre-season ahead of Michael Beale's predicted return.
The Welshman is hoping to put his injury hell of last season behind him after undergoing surgery. The former Derby County man made a huge impact for Giovanni van Bronckhorst scoring three goals in his first nine games including a crucial strike in the Champions League pay off against PSV. Lawrence was looking a sharp addition to the Rangers midfield but suffered major set backs with his season cut short last August.
Michael Beale provided a timeline for the star who will feel like a 'new signing' when he returns. The London boss expected Lawrence to join in with the first team a "a couple of weeks" into pre-season. But Rangers TV footage has shown Lawrence enter the building on day one. The 29-year-old appeared to be in good spirits as he smiled at the camera when walking into the Light Blues HQ.

Other crocked stars including Connor Goldson and Kemar Roofe also appeared on the video.
Speaking back in May. Beale outlined the importance of Lawrence but admitted the attacker had 8-10 months of catching up to do.
Beale said at the time: "He (Tom) came in as an important signing, and an experienced member of the squad. He didn’t come in to be a player for the future, he came to be a ‘now’ player. He started the season really well, he was important in the PSV games for example.
“And then he got a horrific injury. He was on his way back from that and had some complications from that. I expect him to be back probably a couple of weeks into pre-season.
“Either at the same time as everybody else or a couple of weeks behind. But having said that he needs to make up maybe eight or 10 months."
