Plant-based food business Jack & Bry has announced that actor Tom Felton has joined as investor and brand ambassador as it launches a fresh round of funding in 2022.
Jack & Bry, which uses sustainable jackfruit in its plant-based meats, is led by Bryony Tinn-Disbury and Jennifer Pardoe - CEO and COO respectively.
Tinn-Disbury moved into foodtech after a 15-year career in advertising and Pardoe has 30 years’ experience in the food industry, working for the likes of Starbucks and Eat.
The funding round follows a 2021 which saw the firm launch its plant-based range of mince, sausages, and Great Taste Award-winning burgers into online supermarket Ocado.
It also developed a vegan pepperoni exclusively for Papa John’s and Pizza Express, which now runs across its national menu. In just two years, it’s also grown to supply a range of products to the likes of Prezzo and Zizzi.
Bryony said: “We are delighted Tom has joined this investment round. His integrity on-screen and off and inter-generational appeal will help not only with our Series A, but to take our brand to the next level.”
Tom Felton, said: “Bryony and Jen have a great product, I’m excited to be involved and watch the company grow.”
