A 15-month-old boy has died in hospital after being run over in a north Queensland driveway.
Paramedics were called to an address in Home Hill, an hour south of Townsville, at about 4:45pm yesterday.
Police say the mother of the child was reversing her ute away from the Berryman Road property when she accidentally drove one of the front tyres over the toddler.
The toddler was taken to Ayr hospital with critical injuries but was pronounced dead at 6:00pm.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
The mother of the child is assisting police with their enquiries.
