Rangers look set to announce Todd Cantwell as Michael Beale's first signing since he arrived at Ibrox - and fans reckons they have found a clue that his unveiling is imminent.
Beale has publicly stated that he is a huge admirer of the Norwich City playmaker and promised the Light Blue support exciting transfer news this week, with the 24-year-old expected to be the first player in at Edmiston Drive during a busy end to the transfer window. He will leave Carrow Road permanently for the first time in his career having come through the youth ranks with Norwich, as he looks to kickstart his career in the Scottish Premiership after struggling for game time over the last 18 months.
But keen Rangers fans have started the countdown clock until the England U21 cap is pictured at Ibrox with a blue scarf raised above his head. And it's thanks to Antonio Colak.
The Croat has been struggling for fitness recently but made his return to action off the bench in the Scottish Cup win over St Johnstone, and it looks like he is keep to link up with Cantwell. Rangers' top scorer has made the move to get to know his potential teammate by following him on Instagram.
Punters online are now floating the theory that deal could be announced within the next 24 hours after the social media hint. Discussing the post on Twitter, one fan said: "That's new. He defo wasn't following him this morning."
Another joked "welcome Todd Cantwell to Rangers" with one faithful Gers fan added "it's finally happening". Cantwell could be joined by Nicolas Raskin and Morgan Whittaker who are high up on Beale's January shopping list.
