Rangers could be keen on making a move for Norwich City star Todd Cantwell, according to reports.
New Light Blues boss Michael Beale set tongues wagging recently when he revealed the Ibrox side had spoken to 'two or three' potential transfer targets with no recruits so far in the January window. Rangers' recruitment of seven new stars in the summer still may harbour some resentment among fans and pundits alike, but Beale admitted he is looking to strengthen in key areas including the midfield.
And Cantwell could fit the profile of a player Beale is looking for, after getting a close up of the attacking midfielder during a 0-0 draw with Norwich when at Queens Park Rangers in November. According to the Scottish Sun, the Englishman is on a transfer 'wish list' for Beale.

The 24-year-old is supposedly the subject of interest on a pre-contract deal for Rangers, with his deal at Carrow Road up in the summer. Cantwell hasn't featured since last year for the Canaries but did register an impressive Premier League season in the 2019-20 campaign, scoring seven goals.
Beale said recently: “The two or three players that I’ve spoken to are very keen to come – and sooner rather than later.
"Same on our side. But I’ve got to make sure they’re the right ones. I’m a little bit fussy. It’s alright doing something over Zoom but I want to sit in front of a player and look in his eyes.
"I want to meet a player and tell them exactly what I want and the role we want them to play. Any players recruited are here to do a specific job for our squad.”
