Simon Jordan has told Todd Boehly which three players Chelsea must sell this summer in order to solve the club's recent financial losses. On Monday, the Blues reported losses of £121million in the 2021/22 financial year, which ended in June 2022.
Therefore, only the early months of the Boehly and Clearlake Capital regime contributed to the results, having completed their takeover in late May. In an official statement from the west London outfit, the club outlined the financial ramifications of losing match-day income following the sanctioning of former owner Roman Abramovich.
Of course, this is was just one factor which impacted Chelsea's annual report but not something which can be overlooked. Another avenue which can raise funds for the clubs is via player sales and Boehly has been told to fill his boots at the end of the season.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan tipped three players to leave the Blues in the summer in order to raise as much money as possible. The former Crystal Palace owner said: "If they sell Conor Gallagher, who’s a £40million footballer; if they sell Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who’s a £40million footballer; and they sell Mason Mount, who’s probably a £60million footballer, they'll make £140million profit."
Jordan was then quizzed on whether offloading the aforementioned academy graduates would upset supporters. He replied: "Too bad, that’s now how it works in the real world.
"People don’t want young players, they want top players. Loftus-Cheek has had six years to lay his claim at Chelsea of being a regular first-team player, he hasn’t done it.
"Gallagher, in and out, a very good player and we’d love to have him at Crystal Palace, but is he going to be able to move out some of these top players that have been brought in [by Chelsea]? [It’s] debatable. Whether Boehly can achieve it [selling these players] or not, it’s a different matter.
"But there’s no reason to suggest that he can’t achieve it. Are you telling me no one wants to buy Gallagher, Loftus-Cheek, or Mount? If you said that, it’d be ridiculous because we all know there will be a big market for those three players."
