To mark 25 years of adventures, this new One Piece collection celebrates Luffy’s best moments

One Piece UNIQLO collection.

All aboard! One Piece celebrates the 25th anniversary of its anime series this year, and to mark the occasion, UNIQLO has unveiled a new range of graphic T-shirts. Launching on July 22, you can channel your inner Straw Hat by nabbing the collection inspired by some of the best moments in Eiichiro Oda’s universe.

There’s something for every potential pirate too with adult and kids ranges available. Starting with the youngest passengers, UNIQLO has five different styles of kids T-shirts, costing £9.90 each. One adorable selection features Monkey D. Luffy with his two older brothers, Ace and Sabo, from when they were youngsters right through to their sailing days. Inspiration spans the whole era of the anime too, with another design featuring the Straw Hats in their latest costumes, taken directly from the Egghead Arc.

If your favorite character is a bit more niche, Uta features in another design, which celebrates her iconic performance of ‘New Genesis’. The final two designs in the collection feature fan-favorite Tony Tony Chopper, the ship’s doctor, and one of Luffy’s most iconic arcs where he attained the Gear Five after defeating Kaido at the land of Wano. It’s all you need to become King of the Pirates!

The adult collection of graphic shirts has even more choices, with eight options in total, including a classic shot of Luffy as he sets out on his journey to become King of the Pirates. Other designs focus on the heart of the show - the friendship between the Straw Hats. These pull from the most iconic arcs that Luffy and his crew have faced to date, from the Romance Dawn Arc right through to episodes airing now.

There’s one T-shirt honoring the bond between friends from the Alabasta Arc, while another focuses on the reunion of the Straw Hat Crew after two years of training on the Fish-Man Island. Of course, there’s a design honoring the current Egghead segment with the gang in their new costumes, hyped about a new island.

Some of Luffy’s biggest adversaries take center stage in the collection, including one intricate design featuring Kaido and another profiling Doflamingo from the Dressrosa Arc. Meanwhile, if you want your heart broken once again, a standout design focuses on the death of Luffy’s beloved older brother Ace. “Thank you for loving me,” it reads as we see the moment that Ace dies in his arms, honoring the anime’s most poignant scene.

Each T-shirt in the adult selection costs £19.90, and is available in a selection of sizes from XS right through to 3XL. The whole collection is based on Luffy’s Adventure Trail, taking you through his setbacks, iconic victories, and - of course - friendships. This is all to commemorate the global phenomenon that is One Piece.

Telling the tales of Luffy and his colorful crew as he sets out on his ambition to become the Pirate King and find the mythical hidden treasure One Piece, the manga has been running since 1997. This year marks the 25th anniversary celebrations of the beloved anime TV series, which has been airing weekly since 1999. So what are you waiting for?
