Titans’ Will Levis exits practice early with lower body injury

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis’ status for the preseason Week 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings is now up in the air after leaving practice early on Thursday with an injury.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed the rookie missed the end of practice after leaving with trainers. Vrabel also noted that his status for Saturday night is now uncertain.

According to Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky, Levis injury is of the lower body variety, but that’s as much as we know at the moment.

Even though it would be on extremely short notice, one would assume the Titans would bring in another quarterback should Levis not be able to play, as an injury to second-year signal-caller Malik Willis could potentially force starter Ryan Tannehill to play significant snaps, which isn’t something the Titans would likely be keen on.

Whether that happens or not, Willis would stand to get significantly more snaps without Levis in the mix, which in turn will give Tennessee a longer look at the Liberty product following a preseason Week 1 showing in which Willis looked much-improved.
