After the first week of free agency, the Tennessee Titans are still in need of more help at the cornerback position, and more specifically for one of their starting spots on the boundary.
The signing of Chidobe Awuzie covers one of those spots, but Tennessee is left looking for a second starter after the departure of Sean Murphy-Bunting, and with the expected departure of Kristian Fulton.
Adding more depth options remains a possibility for the Titans, also.
Tennessee figures to further address the position in free agency, but the 2024 NFL draft is another avenue in which they can add help.
Someone to keep an eye on is Pittsburgh cornerback A.J. Woods, who the Titans have shown interest in during the pre-draft process, according to Justin Melo of The Draft Network.
.@Pitt_FB CB A.J. Woods; 29 career PBUs, great showings at @Hula_Bowl & @ShrineBowl earlier this year. Versatile DB.

Here’s more on Woods, per Jared Maslin of The 33rd Team:
Woods is an undersized corner who brings some physicality, run support, and strong zone skills, but a lack of size, deep speed, ball skills, and tackle consistency make him a deep backup and potential special teamer at the next level.
Seeing as how he’s projected to be a late-round pick, at best, Woods wouldn’t be the starter the Titans need, but he could be added to compete for a depth and special teams role in training camp.
