Titans’ Ryan Stonehouse has upbeat message after season-ending injury

While Tennessee Titans fans are bummed for star punter Ryan Stonehouse, who suffered a season-ending injury in Week 13, the Colorado State product is staying upbeat in the wake of the terrible news.

Stonehouse came down with the injury in the third quarter of the loss to the Indianapolis Colts. It isn’t clear exactly what injury he suffered to his knee, but head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed on Monday that it will require surgery and end his season.

The second-year punter was in the midst of yet another sensational season after a record-breaking rookie campaign in 2022.

In fact, Stonehouse was coming off a historic month of November and was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after his latest impressive performance in Week 12 against the Carolina Panthers.

He was also leading the NFL in several categories and was on his way to a second All-Pro nod (he was a second-team All-Pro in 2022).

As bummed as everyone rightly is for him, Stonehouse took to X with an upbeat message.

“Just another chapter in the story, I’ll be back,” he wrote.

With Stonehouse done for the season, the Titans now have to find someone to fill in for him for the final five games, and quite possibly for some contests next season, depending on significant the injury is.

Franchise great Brett Kern has been mentioned by fans and media, and the 37-year-old recently addressed the topic, which you can check out right here.
