Titans make 6 roster moves ahead of Week 6 game vs. Ravens

The Tennessee Titans have made a slew of roster moves ahead of their Week 6 contest against the Baltimore Ravens in London on Sunday.

The team announced it has promoted two to the active roster in defensive back Shyheim Carter and defensive lineman Taylor Stallworth. Stallworth was signed to the practice squad earlier this week while Carter was with Tennessee throughout the offseason before landing on the practice squad.

The move with the latter might indicate fellow defensive lineman Teair Tart, who is questionable with a toe injury, will sit once again. Tennessee’s run defense struggled mightily without Tart in the lineup last week.

Carter was elevated from the practice squad in Week 4 and made his NFL debut in that game, playing 11 snaps on defense and special teams.

In order to fit Carter and Stallworth onto the active roster, the Titans had to part ways with two players. Check out those moves as well as the team’s practice squad elevations for Week 6 by scrolling below.

Waived: OT Justin Murray

Syndication: The Tennessean

After failing to make the 53-man roster out of camp, Murray was brought back on the practice squad and then elevated for a pair of games before he received a promotion to the active roster in late September. He did not play any offensive snaps for Tennessee.

Waived: CB Kindle Vildor

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Vildor was claimed off waivers from the Chicago Bears after final cuts. He appeared in two games for the Titans and played 16 snaps total, including nine on defense. He has been inactive for the other three games.

Elevated from practice squad: DB Dane Cruikshank

Syndication: The Tennessean

Cruikshank was drafted in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL draft by the Titans and spent his first four years in Nashville. His best year came in 2021, when he was tasked with covering tight ends, a role he thrived in. If he plays, this will be his first appearance for Tennessee since that season.

Elevated from practice squad: DL Jaleel Johnson

Syndication: The Tennessean

This is yet another potential sign that Tart may be unable to go. Johnson was inked to the practice squad ahead of Week 3 and has played in two of the last three games, totaling 25 snaps on defense and three on special teams.
