Titans convert flea flicker for 63-yard touchdown vs. Broncos

The Tennessee Titans are not only completing passes in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos, they actually ripped off a long touchdown pass in the third quarter.

With Tennessee’s offense desperately needing some kind of spark, it got one from an unusual place: the passing attack.

Offensive coordinator Todd Downing drew up a flea flicker that saw quarterback Ryan Tannehill connect with wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for a 63-yard touchdown pass.

NWI didn’t just make the catch, though, he put on some impressive moves to complete the play.

It was NWI’s second of the game, the longest catch of his career, and he’s now up over 100 yards for the contest. The score gave the Titans a 14-10 lead over the Broncos. Check it out.

NWI’s big day comes on the heels of him getting some flack earlier this week for saying nobody was criticizing Titans wide receivers before their abysmal Week 9 showing against the Kansas City Chiefs.

“No one was saying this earlier in the year when we were making plays, so I’m just going to ignore all that and go back to work and just try to get better and make the plays that we need to make; that’s all it is,” Westbrook-Ikhine said. “It was a bad game, had a few bad plays, and we just got to go back to work.”

Talk about answering the bell.
