Tim Boyle made his first start for the New York Jets in the team’s Week 12 blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins. Despite Boyle’s struggles from under center against the Dolphins, Robert Saleh has indicated that he’ll draw another start at quarterback for the Jets in Week 13.
Saleh: "Yeah, we're giving Timmy a chance to roll again next week."

After rolling with Zach Wilson since Week 2, the Jets benched him in favor of Boyle during the Week 11 defeat to the Buffalo Bills. Boyle got the nod as the starter entering Week 12, but the quarterback change didn’t help produce a different outcome.
In his first start with the Jets, Boyle completed 27 of his 38 attempts for only 179 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. His first interception will forever live in infamy as it resulted in a pick-six on a Hail Mary to end the first half.
The Jets produced two first downs, fewer than 50 yards of offense, and they failed to convert a third down in the first half of the game against the Dolphins. Most of New York’s offensive stats were generated in the fourth quarter when the game was well out of hand.
A change needed to be made at quarterback with Wilson not showing any improvements in his third season. Even though Boyle doesn’t appear to be an upgrade at the position, he’ll be the starting signal-caller at home against the Falcons in Week 13.
