A Bristol TikToker has gone viral after filming his 16-mile public transport commute to the city, which took him nearly two hours. Rory Ferguson lives on a farm in Old Sodbury, just outside Bristol, but doesn't drive.
The 19-year-old said it would normally take 25 minutes to get into the city by car, but he is reliant on parents for a lift, who on the day weren’t free to drive him in.
So Rory set off on a mission to complete the journey via foot, bus and train. He said: “I realised it was going to take me ages so thought I would make a silly video about it. I wasn’t expecting it to get so many views.”

In the video, viewers see Rory start with a 30-minute walk across the fields to reach the nearest bus stop where he gets his first bus to Yate shopping centre. After reaching Yate he gets on to a second bus, this time taking him to the train station.
His final mode of transport, the train, takes him to Temple Meads where he gets off and walks to where he needs to get to. The video has received over 280,000 views in under two weeks, and people in the comments showed their support with many saying they have the same trouble.

One commenter said: “I don’t live on a farm but this is too relatable. I live in the middle of nowhere.” Another said: “This is ME!! I have to trek 55 minutes over fields, country lanes and a literal river just to get to my 'local' train station.”
Rory told Bristol Live he’s in the process of getting a driving licence but with the backlog left over from Covid, he was struggling to even get a test booked in.
