VISAKHAPATNAM: A suspected tiger on the prowl has been giving sleepless nights to the villagers and forest department officials in Nathavaram, Chodavaram, Devarapalle and a few other areas in Anakapalle mandal for past few weeks.
Locals said they have seen the big cat which has killed two cattle. However, the villagers said it is difficult to confirm whether it is a tiger or a leopard. Forest officials said they have visited the spot and collected the pugmarks which seem to be that of a tiger. Forest officials suspect the tiger might be roaming the villages in search of water.
