Tibetan Protest Greets Trump-Xi Meet: Activists demand China leave Tibet; rally outside White House

As US President Donald Trump hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping at the White House on Thursday, members of the Tibetan community staged an anti-China protest in Washington, DC, raising slogans including “We want China out of Tibet”.

The protest came as talks were held focused on strengthening ties between the US and China, with the meeting drawing attention to several longstanding areas of disagreement between the two countries.

News agency ANI reported that the protestors are demanding that the Tibet issue be raised before the Chinese Govt and a solution should be brought about.
