Thylane Blondeau Wore a Custom Miu Miu Gown for Her Wedding to Ben Attal

French model Thylane Blondeau wore a custom Miu Miu gown for her wedding to actor and DJ Ben Attal, and this week she shared new details about how the dress came together, in an interview with Vogue France.

Blondeau and Attal held a civil ceremony in Paris on June 29, followed by a second, larger celebration on July 30 at Château Diter, a private estate in the hills of Grasse, in the south of France. The bride, 25, and groom, 29, told Vogue France they wanted the day to feel "simple and warm," and Blondeau said choosing to marry in the south of France, where she was born, "was obvious" to her.

For the ceremony, Blondeau wore a fitted lace gown with a fishtail silhouette that flared below the knee, paired with a lace-trimmed veil. She described the dress to Vogue France as "refined and timeless," adding that she had dreamed of a lace gown and that the Miu Miu team "did exceptional work." She has worked with the Italian fashion house since she was 16.

Blondeau said her first fitting took place in Milan, a trip she made with her best friend, who cried throughout the appointment while her mother watched by FaceTime and cried as well. "These are memories I will never forget," she told the publication. "I am infinitely grateful to them."

She also shared the news on her own Instagram account, posting photos from the celebration alongside a caption describing the gown as "the wedding dress of my dreams. Custom by @miumiu. Where forever begins." She added that the couple's vision for the day was "simple, soft, modern, and timeless," and that "every detail was chosen with intention, because every detail matters."

Later in the evening, Blondeau changed out of the lace gown into a sleeker ivory silk dress featuring a dramatic cape for the reception, which continued the day's soft, romantic aesthetic in a more streamlined form.

Château Diter, the venue for the ceremony, is a Renaissance-inspired estate set on roughly 17 acres near Cannes, with Italian gardens, olive groves, a medieval-style cloister and multiple guest suites. According to Vogue France, the couple visited several venues suggested by their wedding planner before settling on the château after their first visit. The celebration continued into the evening at the Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic in Cannes.

Blondeau also credited wedding planner Evelyne Layani for helping bring the couple's vision to life, writing that the results exceeded "anything we could have imagined."

According to People, the couple planned the château celebration in a compressed timeline after becoming engaged this past March, when Attal proposed during a trip to Greece. Their civil ceremony a month earlier, in Paris's 16th arrondissement, marked their legal marriage; the Grasse event functioned as a larger family and friends celebration.

Blondeau first gained international recognition in 2006, at age six, when Vogue Enfants dubbed her "the most beautiful girl in the world." She has since built a long-running modeling career, including a continued relationship with Miu Miu that spans nearly a decade, walking in the label's runway shows in recent seasons before wearing its design for her own wedding.

Attal, a French actor and DJ, is the son of actress and singer Charlotte Gainsbourg and actor-director Yvan Attal, and the grandson of French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg and British actress Jane Birkin.

Neither Miu Miu nor Miuccia Prada has issued a separate statement beyond the credit confirmed in Blondeau's own account and the Vogue France interview.
