'Heartbroken' mum of teen who took her own life after dad sexually abused her speaks out about tragic loss

Megan Reid, 17, passed away on 5 April (Submitted / Daily Record)

The heartbroken mother of a teenager who took her own life after her father sexually abused her has opened up on her devastating loss.

Gemma Mckeown's daughter Megan Reid, from Livingston in West Lothian, died on 5 April at the age of just 17.

Two years earlier, in 2019, her dad Joseph McGinn was convicted of sexually assaulting her.

McGinn's vile abuse of Megan began in 2008, when she was just four years old.

But it wasn't until Megan was 13, that she finally revealed the awful truth to her mum on Mother's Day 2018 - a moment Gemma describes as 'the biggest shock of her life'.

Neil Lennon slams former Celtic teammates who 'stabbed me in the front not the back'

Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed there are some ex-Parkhead team-mates he no longer talks to since his acrimonious departure from Glasgow's east end.

And he believes he was stabbed "in the front, not the back" by his old pals upon his exit.

The Irishman was sacked as Hoops boss in February last year as his side's 10 In A Row tilt fell short and they lost their grip on the Scottish Premiership title.

Lennon insists his relationships with the likes of former chief executive Peter Lawwell and the club's largest shareholder Dermot Desmond have remained intact.

But that's NOT the case when it comes to some of the players he used to share the hallowed Parkhead turf after the bitter end to his time at Celtic.

A family told of their heartbreak after learning ashes they had scattered did not belong to the right person - and fear they came from a vacuum bag.

Gran-of-six Eileen McClean, 54, died from a pulmonary embolism on November 23, 2020.

A service at Kirkcaldy Crematorium was held on December 3 for mum-of-four Eileen.

Relatives noticed the ' ashes ' lingered on the ground where they were scattered for longer than expected - and now fear it was an emptied vacuum bag which was laid to rest.

Residents of caravan park accuse Rolls-Royce driving fraudster of ruining their retirement

Residents of a caravan park owned by a Rolls-Royce driving fraudster have accused him of wrecking their retirement.

Several owners of static caravans on Libby Durant’s Beechtree Park estate in Denny, near Stirling, have left the site, losing tens of thousands of pounds.

Residents, who shelled out £85,000 for properties, claim the caravans were supposed to have a mains gas supply and be set on concrete bases.

Instead, their units were freezing cold and sinking into the ground, they claim.

Several owners have given statements to the Record about their dealings with Durant, who has a directorship ban.
