Thunder to strike Leeds again on Tuesday says Met Office

More thunder is forecast to hit Leeds on Tuesday.

Thunderstorm warnings have been in place across the UK last week as more thundery weather is forecast for Leeds today (June 20).

Met Office says: "Dry with some bright spells at first, but clouding over during the morning with an area of rain or showers moving north, some heavy and possibly thundery, before clearing later. Maximum temperature 22 °C."

There will be heavy rain on Tuesday morning in Leeds until 1pm, says Met Office - turning cloudy throughout the afternoon. Thunder is forecast across the city at 6pm. There will be sunny intervals for the remainder of the evening.

Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday

Wednesday, scattered heavy, thundery showers. Thursday, any isolated showers less heavy. Friday, bright with settled conditions, a chance of afternoon showers and an increase in cloud. Warm or very warm.
