A thug was caught on CCTV smashing up a stranger's car after a furious domestic escalated on a Scots street.
The man was captured launching a bag at the windscreen of a vehicle on Waverley Place in Edinburgh after having an argument with a young woman at around 2.10am on Sunday, March 20.
The lout also damaged the wing mirror of another vehicle and police have now launched a probe into the reckless incident.
The car which suffered the most damage belonged to local couple Helen, 49, and Jason Champion, 46 - and the pair have been left devastated.
They rely on the vehicle to look after their elderly mother who is 78 years-old and have been forced to fork out £850 in repairs, reports Edinburgh Live.
Helen said: " We woke up with them shouting at each other.
"They walked up the street, he kicked off the wing mirror of another car, she walked down on the other side of the road, obviously said something to annoy him and he threw his bag at my windscreen and shattered it.
"I don't know either of them and it was a heat of the moment thing.
"His actions have ongoing consequences. My mum is disabled and the car is used if she needs to go to any appointments or if I need to pick up anything from the shops or chemist.
"I can't do that until it is repaired.
"My insurance has said to go to Autoglass, who can't fit us in until 5 April and we have to arrange for it to be towed to Sighthill, at our own expense, because they need to replace it.
"If it rains in the meantime then the interior will be damaged too.
"So it's now costing £750 to get it replaced this week, which my insurance won't cover, all because someone decided to argue outside my front door."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received report of two cars having been vandalised on Waverley Terrace in Mayfield around 2.10am on Sunday, March 20. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
