'Threatened, spat at': retailers, workers demand action

Retail workers are increasingly being threatened on the job with verbal abuse and violence, reawakening calls for stronger protections.

New data released on Thursday shows 79 per cent of Victorians are concerned about rising crime levels, compared to 66 per cent in other states and territories.
