Thor Bjornsson has vowed to leave a "bloodbath" in his wake if a prospective exhibition bout with world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury comes to fruition.
The legendary boxer has insisted that he is retired from fighting at the professional level, but has expressed keen interest in big money exhibition bouts. And he appears to have begun the build-up to his next one, starting a social media back-and-forth with the former world's strongest man winner, with whom he was once friends.
Fury began by calling out Bjornsson earlier this week, posting a video after one of his two-a-day training sessions to call for a bout with the Icelandic strongman. And he hit right back with a video of his own, as the pair began to shape up for a possible exhibition bout.
Of course, a professional bout between the pair wouldn't be feasible given the monstrous skill differential between them. Fury is an undefeated two-time heavyweight world champion with 33 professional fights and an extensive amateur background, while Bjornsson has competed in a pair of exhibitions before winning his two celebrity fights against Devon Larratt and Eddie Hall.
"I just finished a brutal session," Fury said in his latest video directed at Bjornsson on Instagram stories last night. "And I can only think about destroying one person; Thor, I'm coming for you, you're getting it sucker, there's only room for one big dog and that's me!"
"Gypsy King is back on it this morning," he added in a later post. "Six days this week, twice a day! Thor, I'm going to come to Iceland and set about you, you big dosser. Get up!"
Bjornsson quickly responded to the callout, making a video of his own promising a violent war. "I f***ing love this, Tyson," he replied. "Me and you in the ring like f***ing vikings. This is going to be a bloodbath, but I f***ing can't wait. Let's do this!"

It was earlier this week that the pair began seriously entertaining the prospective fight, after Bjornsson had previously indicated he would fancy an exhibition with the legendary heavyweight. Fury first called his rival out before they went back-and-forth with messages on Instagram.
Fury took to Instagram to tease a fight with Bjornsson, asking fans in a story post "I wonder if Thor could take a crashing right hand to that big jaw? Who would have Thor's hammer? Would this mountain be too big to climb?"
Bjornsson hit back with a post of his own, telling Fury: "There's only one way to find out, let's make these [our fists] talk. I'm 100 per cent up for a war. Let's do this."
The pair spent time last December hanging out at one of Fury's live speaking events, and compared physiques during a shirtless backstage photoshoot. The pair are both 6'9", and would collectively tip the scales at around 600lb.
