Thor Bjornsson makes Tyson Fury 'bloodbath' promise after exhibition fight hint

Thor Bjornsson has promised a 'bloodbath' should a fight arise against heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury. The Icelandic strongman has been speaking regularly on the topic, outlining his plans to beat the Brit should an exhibition between the pair come to fruition.

In recent weeks, Fury has hinted at a return from his retirement after initially announcing that he would be hanging up his gloves after beating Dillian Whyte at Wembley in April. This would open up the possibility of a future fight against the Icelandic giant, but a unification bout against Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua could be up next instead for the Brit.

However, there is lots of scope for the Gypsy King to engage in a series of exhibition fights and has been teasing the prospect to fans via his Instagram stories in recent days. "I just finished a brutal session," He said. "And I can only think about destroying one person; Thor, I'm coming for you, you're getting it sucker, there's only room for one big dog and that's me!"

" Gypsy King is back on it this morning," he added. "Six days this week, twice a day! Thor, I'm going to come to Iceland and set about you, you big dosser. Get up!"

Bjornsson was quick to respond to the callout, replying with a promise to fans that they would witness a 'bloodbath'. He explained: "I f***ing love this, Tyson," he replied. "Me and you in the ring like f***ing vikings. This is going to be a bloodbath, but I f***ing can't wait. Let's do this!"

The giant pair have previously been pictured together and appear to have a friendship, but the escalation in the Instagram stories suggests that they could well be about to enter the ring for real and provide fans a massive spectacle.
