Thomas Tuchel did not feel the need to look after his Manchester City players in the wake of a bombshell verdict that captain Harry Kane is confident will not impact the England team’s focus.

The sporting world was rocked by Tuesday’s confirmation that an independent commission had found City guilty of all charges related to breaches of Premier League financial rules between 2009-10 and 2017-18.
