The recent archaeological finding, which was made in northern Israel, comes from an amazing discovery of a gemstone by a 12-year-old who found it while he participated in an excavation project at Korazim National Park. The archaeological gemstone was determined to be a very rare Nicolo gemstone dating back 1,500 years in either Roman or Byzantine times. It is speculated that the gemstone may have been part of a jewellery piece that would shed light on ancient jewellery craftsmanship. Some fields of research that have an interest in the new finding include Biblical archaeology, ancient gemstones, Roman jewellery, Byzantine artefacts, Korazim archaeology, Galilee history, and New Testament archaeology. This rare archaeological discovery in Israel provides valuable insights into ancient gemstone craftsmanship, Roman and Byzantine jewellery traditions, and the rich cultural heritage of the Galilee region
