Phillip Schofield has offered an explanation after it was suggested ITV's This Morning presenters may be embroiled in another 'feud', with the host missing his colleague Alison Hammond's birthday party. Alison hosted a fancy celebration over the weekend to celebrate her own birthday and her son Aiden turning 18.
The TV star turned 48 on Sunday, February 5, and held a star-studded bash on Saturday evening to celebrate. She shared pictures from the event, as did her celebrity guests, including This Morning colleagues Holly Willoughby and Dermot O'Leary.
Other famous faces to attend included Carol Vorderman and TalkTV host Vanessa Feltz. The partygoers reportedly enjoyed an incredible firework display and a drag cabaret act.

But Phillip Schofield didn't post anything from the evening and wasn't in any of the pictures.
This had led to some fans wondering if there may have been some kind of falling out among the hosts of the ITV show, with the Sun newspaper reporting that Phillip's absence could be a sign of a feud.
But presenting This Morning on Monday, he explained that he had missed the bash as it coincided with his daughter Ruby's party. However, Phillip was enjoying hearing about what his friends had got up to at the celebration.
He said:Do you know what I'm loving? What I'm loving is that as a team here, gradually stories bit by bit, by bit are leaking out over Alison Hammond's party on Saturday night." He added: "Loads of the team went. The photos are unbelievable and gradually, people are going, 'Oh my God, I did, didn't I?'"
Holly then had Phillip in stitches as she fell over while trying to recreate a dance move that a dance group who were at the party had performed. She said: “I've just remembered there was one performance of the night where there was a dance troupe there and they did what is known as, I've just discovered, the death drop where one leg goes up and bang... you land in the splits. And I may have just tried to reinact it.”
Phillip added: “She did it in the break and ended up flat on the floor.” The show then showed a clip of Holly collapsing to the floor as she attempted the ambitious move during the add break.
She said: “I buckled under the weight. That was quite an elegant fall. I didn't show anything" as Phillip confirmed: "No you didn't flash your knickers.”
While it seems that the hosts of This Morning are all friends at the moment, things haven't always been so cheery on set. Phillip previously had a falling out with former presenter Eamonn Holmes, who hosted the show with his wife Ruth Langsford between 2006 and 2021.
The Sun also reported in 2021 that Ruth herself had made an official complaint about Phillip to ITV bosses.
Speaking to the Daily Mail's Weekend magazine last year, Eamonn said: “Phillip is renowned for snubbing people. He's very passive-aggressive. It's up to Ruth to say how she felt, but I was feeling hurt for her. No one would have snubbed me like that.”
