Phillip Schofield rejected orders from his This Morning bosses on Thursday, telling them there was 'no chance' he was listening, as they urged him to wrap up a cooking segment, just as he was pouring a glass of wine.
Phillip and co-host Holly Willoughby have had a busy week back at work on the ITV daytime show, having been away from the studio for close to a month, after both taking an extended festive break. Like many programmes this week, large chunks of This Morning have been dedicated to talking about Prince Harry, in the aftermath of his explosive memoir Spare being released and him giving a series of revealing interviews about his relationship with the Royal Family.
This week has also seen the hosts joined by stars including Happy Valley actress Siobhan Finneran and EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer. ahead of her Dancing on Ice debut, as well as Phillip and Holly both being left insanely jealous by co-stars Helen McGinn and Kat Farmer over as they appeared live from the Swiss Alps.
Patsy appeared on Thursday's show, alongside her Dancing on Ice pro partner Matt Evers and before interviewing them, Phillip and Holly were treated to a cooking demo from chef Juliet Sear, who introduced them with some of the food trends that are expecting to be big over the coming year, including Pizza Toast,
While This Morning regular Juliet got busy in the kitchen, showing viewers at home how to make the dish which has attracted plenty of attention on TikTok, Phillip and Holly tucked into ones that she'd made earlier
Juliet then moved onto talk about and prepare another trend, the Green Goddess Salad, before making a dessert for the presenters to tuck into.
The final trend Juliet discussed for Jalapeno Rose and, as a TikTok of it being made appeared on screen, Phillip could be heard saying: "They're trying to wrap us now upstairs, just as I'm pouring the wine."
He then shouted: "Are you absolutely joking?! There's no chance we're stopping now," as Holly joked: "Goodbye Dry January!"
