Josie Gibson fought back tears as Grease star Barry Pearl paid a heartfelt tribute to Olivia Newton-John live on Tuesday's This Morning.
Olivia's husband John Easterling broke the sad news on Monday evening that she'd passed away after courageously battled breast cancer for a number of years. In an emotional post, John wrote: "Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time," before going onto praise her for being "a symbol of triumphs and hope,." as she fought breast cancer to the end.
News of Olivia's death was met with tributes from across the world from fans and those who'd had the pleasure of working with her. One of those people who shared a screen with Olivia in her most famous role, as Sandy in Grease, is Barry, who starred opposite her as Doody in the iconic movie musical.

He appeared live via video call from America as news of Olivia's death dominated the early part of This Morning, with him telling Josie and her co-host Craig Doyle how much the love and support of fans meant to the legendary star
Choking on his words as he talked about Grease fans across the world Barry said: "You folks are the ones who keep all of us relevant and she was well aware of that. And she treated all her fans with grace and dignity and love.."
As he ended his tribute, the camera cut back to Josie and Craig in the studio, with former Big Brother winner Josie looking visibly moved as Craig remarked: "He spoke so eloquently didn't he?"
Josie replied: "I know..." as she wafted the script in front of her and tried to gather her thoughts together.
