Josie Gibson and Vernon Kay have prompted a call for action from This Morning bosses, as viewers want them to be made permanent hosts.
With Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby still on their Easter break, Josie and Vernon have followed on from ITV colleagues Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, to be stand in hosts this week. And, after just a few hours of them reuniting in the This Morning studio on Monday, many fans at home were calling on Josie and Vernon to be given a bigger role on the daytime show.
After Vernon's original debut was delayed due to him contracting Covid, the duo first presented together towards the end of the year, with This Morning viewers instantly praising their on screen chemistry. There have been plenty of hilarious moments between them this week, two coming during Tuesday's episode.

Vernon was left taken aback when Josie admitted she'd eaten dog chocolate, before he shocked resident fashion expert Louise Roe by declaring that a floral dress she recommended to viewers looked like something 'the wolf in Little Red Riding Hood would wear.' Josie and Vernon's run on This Morning together will come to an end on Thursday, with Alison hosting the Bank Holiday episodes on both Good Friday and Easter Monday.
But fans want This Morning producers to have them on more often, with plenty saying they should be permanent presenters. Taking to Twitter to make their opinions on Josie and Vernon very clear, one posted: "Well josie Gibson and Vernon kay brilliant job after last week's embarrassments! you need to stay permanently."
Also calling on Josie and Vernon to be made permanent, another tweeted: "Love these two! Let them present full time please! Or at least Fridays and all holidays. Josie is too good for silly competitions and it's great having Vernon back on our screens." A third commented: "#VernonAndJosie are the perfect presenters. Josie doesn’t make the show about her and @vernonkay is the perfect wing man and respectful."
The same comments were echoed on social media on Wednesday, with another Josie and VErnon fan writing: "love love love @vernonkay and Josie Gibson on this morning. Next best thing to Phillip and Holly or Eamon and Ruth. Please have them on every holiday."
