This Morning viewers are admitting to having a major 'rethink' on who should be the full time hosts of the show going forward, as Holly Willoughby and Craig Doyle one to the end of their second week of presenting together.
Just a few months ago, Holly would have assumed that Phillip Schofield would continue to be her main co-host on the daytime programme, but the situation changed drastically over the course of a very dramatic week, which firstly saw Phillip announce he was leaving This Morning in an Instagram post, before then departing ITV altogether a week later, when he gave a statement admitting to an affair with a much younger runner on the show he'd fronted for 21 years.
Holly took an extended leave of absence as controversy surrounding, her, Phillip and This Morning itself, before returning to the studio and telling fans she felt 'troubled and let down' by what had gone on, while assuring people watching at home that she and her colleagues would work hard to bring back 'the magic;' the show was famous for.
Dermot O'Leary was the immediate bookies' favourite to be Phillip's long term successor but, after he and Holly were teamed up for a two week stint, many This Morning viewers weren't convinced they were 'the right fit.
Ever since they hosted together for the first time last year, there have been plenty of calls for Craig and Josie Gibson to be the show's main presenters, with those demands being made again as they did the honours for a day at the end of last month, as Holly took an extra day off for Glastonbury.
However, having now had plenty of opportunities to see Holly and Craig in action together over the last fortnight, some viewers are now very much coming round to the idea of that being the partnership ITV bosses should go with going forward.

Impressed with what they've seen, one viewer took to Twitter to post: "I am loving Holly and Craig on This Morning together they make a great team," with a second, also backing them for a full time partnership, tweeting: "Holly and Craig get better and better as a presenting pair."
Heaping particular praise on Craig, while also a fan of him working with Holly, a third commented "Can we please have Craig on all the time? Not only is he easy on the eye he’s funny but can also be serious when necessary. Plus I think he works well with Holly"
