Alison Hammond was stunned by Nick Knowles' age during an interview on today's This Morning.
The 47-year-old broadcaster fronted Friday's edition of ITV's flagship daytime programme alongside Dermot O'Leary. They were joined by the property expert as DIY SOS returned this week.
Nick has presented the home make-over show for the past 23 years and thrilled viewers as season 31 premiered on our screens. The presenter was embroiled in controversy last year when he broke BBC rules after featuring as a builder in a Shreddies advert.

His appearance violated the broadcasting corporation's editorial guidelines that stipulate actors and artists are banned from appearing in promotional work "in a way which mimics or replicates their on-air roles for the BBC." This meant he was replaced on the show by Rhod GIlbert for the Children in Need Special - and Nick admitted it felt "odd" during the interview.
He said: "It was a misunderstanding and it's all resolved now but Rhod's a great lad and he threw his heart into it." Alison ended the interview by lauding Nick's youthful appearance as he prepares to celebrate his 60th birthday this year.
She said: "I'm not gonna say how old you are, but you wouldn't believe it." Dermot agreed with his co-host and viewers following the show on Twitter flooded the comments to praise Nick after the interview.
