Alison Hammond has revealed her new partner makes her "heart sing" and she feels "content" after being quizzed on her new romance. The TV presenter who is best known for hosting ITV's This Morning joined Lorraine Kelly's show on Friday morning.
The 47-year-old mother-of-one was on the ITV programme to talk about her latest book Black In Time: The Most Awesome Black Britons from Yesterday to Today. But after Dermot O'Leary let slip that his This Morning co-host was "unavailable" forcing Alison to tell viewers she did have a "special someone" in her life, Lorraine was keen to ask Alison more details.
"Congratulations, I know because Dermot revealed it to everybody, because you were trying to keep this lovely romance under wraps," Lorraine said to Alison who was laughing. "You don't want to put pressure on anything do you?" Alison replied.

The former Big Brother star then added: "Well, all I'm going to say, I'm not going to say we're in love and everything like that. All I can say is he makes my heart sing and I feel content. He enriches my life in ways I’ve never had before."
"Alison you don’t have to say any more than that," Lorraine replied: "Anybody that does that for you, that is fabulous". Later on ITV, Alison was left trying to hold back laughter as she joined Dermot on This Morning and her 49-year-old co-host pretended to read out a letter from a viewer for astrologer Hagan Fox.
"I've got one here from Dermot," He said, 'Dear Hagan, I'm wracked with guilt for outing my partner on air last week, that she might be in some long-term relationship. How do I process this," Dermot continued: "and should my stars define how I get through it?'."
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub from 9am and This Morning follows from 10am.
