Eamonn Holmes has made a fresh dig at Holly Willoughby, demanding the This Morning presenter should follow Phillip Schofield out the door. The GB News presenter, who was part of the This Morning family for many years, slammed the pair in a scathing interview on the GB News channel last night, May 29, following Schofield's exit from the show.
Earlier this month, after much speculation about the alleged "cooling" of his friendship with Willoughby, ITV and Schofield announced that he would be leaving the This Morning sofa with immediate effect. Following his departure from the show, Schofield has admitted to having a relationship with a much younger male ITV employee, whilst he was still married.
A number of famous faces and This Morning stars have given their thoughts on the drama, especially Holmes, who has branded Willoughby as "distant". Holmes, who presented the show alongside wife Ruth Langsford until 2021, said: "Not only should Phillip go, but Holly should follow him out the door.

"I don’t think you’ll ever see Holly back on the couch again. Holly doesn’t know people’s names, either. This is legendary within the production teams, that how distant they are and how they just don’t care.
"There are people who say for her it's not about what Phillip did, it's not about protecting the young fella involved. There are financial experts who would say it’s about brand protection with her, her company, and advertising deals which looks like she’s distancing herself from to protect herself."
Following on from Schofield's stepping down and the headlines that have come with it, Willoughby issued a statement to her Instagram story, in which she accused her former best friend Schofield of lying about his relationship with the younger man. "It's taken time to process yesterday's news," she told her followers.
"When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not. It's been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie."
Holmes has now accused Willoughby of "distancing herself" from Schofield's affair scandal, after the 61-year-old claimed his This Morning and Dancing On Ice co-host was still his "rock" prior to his axing. Holmes said: "I think Phillip was absolutely right about toxicity.
"But my friend, the toxicity is not with me or anyone else, the toxicity is with you! He is the chief narcissist.
"He is a complete and utter dyed in the wool narcissist, everything is about him. He created an atmosphere where people hated him; those people he would avoid them in the corridor, he didn’t look at anybody, he didn’t know anybody’s name."
