A romantic proposal that was secretly filmed by ITV's This Morning has left viewers cringing, as one man got engaged to his girlfriend on the show today (February 14).
Valentine's Day proposals can be cute, and also cringy, but one man went the whole mile by secretly filming his engagement to be broadcast on live TV, reports the Daily Record.
Couple Dan and Ellen were enjoying a quiet brunch when suddenly a singer and dancers burst out to serenade them, in what felt like an awkward moment.

Ellen was gobsmacked as the singer hit out with Bruno Mars' song 'Marry You', and her now-fiancé got down on one knee.
The dancers then opened their jumpers to reveal a question - will you marry me on their t-shirts.
Viewers flocked to social media to discuss what they felt was a "cringe" television moment.
One Twitter user wrote: "How embarrassing, poor girl."
Another said: "This is so cringe."
And a third wrote: "Never thought it was physically possible for my toes to curl but here we are."
One cringed: "I’d want the ground to open up and swallow me!!"
However, not everyone was horrified by the sentiment, as some dubbed it a sweet thing to do.
One Twitter user wrote: "I thought my pregnancy hormones had settled but I’ve just cried at someone proposing on this morning."
Another added: "Congratulations guys."
After the big question had been asked the couple were then invited into the studio for another surprise.
They were given a week in Antigua for their honeymoon.
This Morning resumes each weekdays on ITV.
