This Morning fans call out BGT impressionist for routine controversy ahead of final

This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary sat down with Britain’s Got Talent finalist Ben Nickless on Wednesday after the dramatic semi-final.

The impressionist made it through to Sunday’s final alongside duo Flintz & T4ylor, who won over the judges and adoring public.

Ben's brilliant comedic version of The Greatest Showman's hit song 'This Is Me' saw him collect the most votes, with Flintz and Taylor and Amber and the Dancing Collies going to the judges' vote after finishing in the top three.

Ben was announced as the overall winner of the night after he did a string of hilarious impersonations on stage, leaving judges David Walliams, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell in stitches.

Ben sat down with Alison and Dermot to chat over his plans for the finale performance over the weekend.

But as the ITV daytime programme played a clip of his act, several viewers took issue with the format of his impressions.

This Morning fans were left disappointed Ben required the image of the person he was impersonating behind him, with one writing: “Putting a picture up of who he was impersonating ruined it a bit. The whole point is recognising them straight away.”

A second wrote: “Ask him why they have to put up the pic of the person he’s supposedly impersonating…”

A third savage fan wrote: “If you need to either introduce the person you're about to impersonate, or need a picture of them behind you while you do you're obviously,” alongside the dog and poo emojis.

Another viewer wrote: “Will you also tell us who you’re impersonating with a picture on a screen? Half the fun is trying to guess.”

But Britain's Got Talent fans were enraged after the "only good act" was sent home from the second live semi-finals on Tuesday evening.

Comedian David Walliams decided to choose the duo as did Alesha Dixon, although that was no surprise as the former Strictly Come Dancing judge used her Golden Buzzer for the singing act.

Amanda Holden ensured the second spot in the final on Sunday June 5 went to a deciding vote after she selected Amber and the Dancing Collies to go through.

Music mogul Simon Cowell, who gave glowing feedback to Amber after opening the second live show of the week, when pressed by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for a decisive answer, admitted that he would have favoured the dancing act if she had performed with only one dog before putting Flintz and Taylor through.

However, this decision did not go down well with viewers on social media, as one wrote: “What a pile of s***e that decision was."

Another commented: "Poor doggy that Simon said shouldn’t of performed let’s keep him in our prayers tonight."

A third user tweeted: "The dog act was literally the only good act tonight."
