THE BREAKDOWN:
- Kuhl Racing’s Land Cruiser Block Series Iron Build has a 7.0-inch suspension lift and 37-inch tires.
- Other off-road upgrades include a skid plate, bumper protectors, and pipe fenders.
- It’ll debut alongside Kuhl Racing’s lifted Toyota GR86 at the Tokyo Auto Salon
The fifth-generation Toyota Land Cruiser is a worthy off-roader, but in today’s world, that’s still not enough for some. Owners who really want to get off the beaten path are turning to the aftermarket to modify their SUVs. In this case, Japan’s Kuhl Racing will reveal a new Land Cruiser at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon that should leave some off-road enthusiasts salivating.
Kuhl has dubbed its custom LC 250 the Blocker Series Iron Build, and it combines an assortment of off-road goodies into one very appealing package. The Land Cruiser, as it’s known in the United States, normally has 8.3 inches of ground clearance. But Kuhl’s 7.0-inch suspension lift kit increases that to 15.7.
The extra ground clearance also highlights the killer wheels—22-inch Verz DDR03s wrapped in 37-inch Yokohama Geolander M/T G003 tires. The chunky rubber and suspension should greatly increase its off-road capability.
The company wrote on social media that the Land Cruiser "blends the power of off-road capability with Kuhl’s signature sportiness and three-dimensional presence."

Kuhl also adds some protection, installing front and rear bumper protectors, pipe fenders, and a skid plate. It also features a roof carrier, a 40-inch LED light bar, and two rear wings—one hanging off the back of the roof, and a smaller one on the liftgate tucked below the rear glass.
The tuner makes no mention of any powertrain upgrades, but in the US, the Land Cruiser comes with Toyota’s turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder hybrid that makes a combined 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, which is already enough for most.
The Iron Build Land Cruiser will debut alongside Kuhl’s GR86 Outroad—a coupe modified for off-road duty. It has a 3.0-inch suspension lift, skid plates, beefier tires, and it’ll also be on display at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon.
