This crisp-loving pig wandered into County Durham working men's club following late-night escape

Regulars at a working men's club in County Durham were left squealing with laughter after a pig made its way into the bar on Tuesday night.

The pig, named Roddy, managed to get inside Easington Colliery Club just after 10pm after following a customer in from the street.

According to bemused onlookers, Roddy was very friendly and tried to get a stroke from everyone.

Staff managed to lure the creature outside with the help of three packets of cheese and onion crisps.

It is thought the pig escaped from nearby gardens before trotting in to the club.

A club worker told us: 'He followed a customer in from the street, doors were open.

'He was very friendly and tried to get petted off multiple people and eventually they got him outside with a packet of cheese and onion.

'I came down and with the promise of more crisps got him locked behind the clubs fence.'

Are you the owner of Roddy the pig, if so please contact us on social media or email ec.news@ncjmedia.co.uk.
