Chelsea star Thiago Silva has responded brilliantly to the news that teammate Trevoh Chalobah has signed a new long-term deal at the club.
Silva has been amazing since arriving at Stamford Bridge on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain back in 2020. The Brazilian defender turned 38 years old back in September but continues to be a crucial and consistent performer for the Blues in defence.
Silva's form for Chelsea was rewarded by Brazil boss Tite with the veteran centre-back being called up for his 26-man World Cup squad to feature in Qatar. The Blues defender helped his nation get off to the perfect start at the tournament, keeping a clean sheet in their 2-0 win over Serbia.

Chalobah, a product of the Blues' academy, put pen to paper on a new deal that will run until 2028 earlier this week. The club have the option to extend that by a further year as Todd Boehly continues to tie down key players to long-term contracts.
Following the news, Silva responded to Chelsea's official Twitter account's post with a brilliant reaction. The Brazilian icon replied with three blue heart emojis suggesting he's very pleased that Chalobah will be staying at the club long-term with the pair set to lineup together when the Premier League season resumes after the World Cup.
