With one point separating Liverpool and Manchester City with only eight matches remaining, today’s top-of-the-table clash has been dubbed by many as a ‘title decider’.
It will certainly have a huge bearing, as afterwards either Liverpool will be two points ahead, still one point behind, or worst comes to worse, City could become untouchable by opening a four-point gap.
There is of course some way to go still, with April a minefield for a potential slip up with UEFA Champions League and FA Cup fixtures to factor into a packed schedule for each club. However, looking through the recent history books certainly suggests both have the potential to remain unbeaten in seven matches that follow.
