Donald Trump insists his ICE thugs are making Minneapolis safer. The facts, evidence, and reality strongly suggest otherwise. Over the weekend, ICE racked up another body after the street execution of ICU nurse Alex Pretti, with his death immediately followed by Trump administration lies that he was actually a hardcore domestic terrorist about to commit a murder spree.
It’s insulting that they don’t even bother to lie convincingly and depressing that so many rubes happily swallow whatever nonsense Noem, Miller, and Leavitt pour down their throats. Pretti’s murder has made an already incredibly volatile situation reach breaking point, with tens of thousands of furious Minneapolis residents taking to the streets.
In a sane world, you might expect ICE commanders to pause and take stock of the situation. After the senseless murders of two innocent people and brutal attacks on countless civilians, perhaps it’s time to try and calm things down?
Open war on the American people
Well, we don’t live in a sane world, so ICE commanders are setting out to brutally crush any dissent. Now, in footage that emerged yesterday, ICE agents have blown off a chunk of a woman’s hand with their “less than lethal” ammunition:

The unidentified woman is seen running away from what appears to be a cloud of tear gas, holding her hand in the air before collapsing into the snow and thrashing around. She screams, “Medic! Medic!” as people rush to assist her. Observers yell, “They shot her! and “Oh my god!”.
Reports indicate this took place near the intersection of Nicollet Avenue and West 26th Street, the location of anti-ICE protests taking place over the weekend.
We should be thankful she wasn’t killed, though this incident once again underlines that ICE’s “less than lethal” ammunition is still highly dangerous. Two protestors have already been blinded after being shot in the face at close range by ICE agents, and late last week, a deeply disturbing image emerged of a protestor having what appeared to be pepper spray fired into their eyes from inches away.
Tell me, how much teargas/bear spray is enough when it makes a puddle in the street under the head of a protester with at least 3 people on top so the person cannot move?

Where this all ends up is anyone’s guess. Though frankly, the theory that the Trump administration is just waiting for someone to violently attack ICE so they can justify sending in the troops and enforcing martial law is worryingly plausible. Whatever else happens, the situation cannot continue like this, as it’s only a matter of time before this gang of murderous thugs executes another innocent person.
