Newcastle United supporters have rubbed further salt in Tottenham's wounds by taking to social media, poking fun at their top-four rivals reimbursing supporters who travelled to St. James' Park last weekend. The fallout of the game has been catastrophic in North London, with Daniel Levy sacking interim boss Cristian Stellini and the Spurs' players have since said they'll reimburse supporters' tickets from for the game against the Magpies. A statement on social media read: "As a squad, we understand your frustration, your anger.
"It wasn't good enough. We know words aren't enough in situations like this but believe us, a defeat like this hurts. We appreciate tour support, home and away, and with this in mind we would like to reimburse fans with the cost of their match tickets for St. James' Park.
