Reacting to the incident during a Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) match, veteran India player Ravichandran Ashwin, who was warned by the bowler for leaving his crease early, voiced his opinion in reply to a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Ashwin himself has been involved as a bowler in a few controversial incidents around 'Mankading', where a bowler tries to run out the batsman, who is leaving the crease early, before completing his delivery stride.
