Themed weddings are booming in Britain – from Disney and action heroes, to fast food themes serving banquets of McDonalds and KFC, according to research.
A poll of 2,000 adults found four in ten have attended a ceremony with a theme – including medieval, Western, or a celebration based on a particular decade, from the 50s to the 90s.
Of those polled, who aren't married, more than four in five (83%) would like to get creative with their nuptials if the occasion arises – with 29% dreaming of a “fantasy wedding”, like Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, or Star Trek.
