‘The looks I’d get with my order’: Woman goes to Taco Bell, orders two Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, and then gets body shamed by an old lady

One of the few places you would hope you would not be discriminated against based on your weight is an eatery; however, for TikTok user @juliasaysstuff, that wasn’t the case. On 14 February 2024, Jules uploaded a video to her account recounting her experience of being body shamed at a Taco Bell restaurant. I know, it sounds ridiculous. Anyways, discussing the incident, she said that her only crime for being ridiculed was ordering two Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes instead of one.

As Jules said in her TikTok video, she went to Taco Bell, ordered a bean burrito and two “fiesta potatoes side things” to go. After her order was ready, she wanted to check if all the items were there, since the specific Taco Bell outlet she had purchased from had a tendency to mess up. After confirming that everything was fine, Jules was on her way out when an old lady approached her and then made unwanted comments about her food order, giving her the ick and an urge to confront her. So what really happened? Continue reading to find out.

An old lady at Taco Bell fatshamed TikTok user @juliasaysstuff

So, after the lady approached Jules at the Taco Bell while she was preparing to leave, looking at her order, she assumed that she had ordered one Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes but was mistakenly given two by the restaurant. She remarked, “Don’t you just love it when they accidentally give you two of something when you only ordered one?”

Speaking about the incident, Jules states in the video that she believes the lady assumed she had ordered only one Fiesta potato, not two. Taking viewers back to the site of the crime, Jules recalls what she said to the woman at the moment, which is that she clarified with her that she had ordered two of the items “on purpose,” to which she looked Jules up and down and said, “Probably shouldn’t have.” I mean, the audacity!!!

People in user @juliasaysstuff’s comments are miffed at the old Taco Bell lady

A lot of people are expressing their anger toward the woman Jules encountered at Taco Bell in the comments section of her video. User @elizabethgaines27wrote, “No one eating at Taco Bell deserves the right to judge another’s order at Taco Bell. That is the unspoken Taco Bell creed.” User @juliabeaman wrote, “That is so rude!!! Like that’s something you just don’t do to people!! I’m so sorry! Trust me you’re perfect just the way you are!!”

A significant number of people in the comments section believed that the Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes Jules ordered from Taco Bell had small portions, and that one serving wasn’t sufficient for anyone. User @ sharing this sentiment wrote, “Okay but the cheesy Fiesta potato bowls aren’t even that big… Like girl, she should see my order… chicken chalupa, cheesy Fiesta potatoes…” User @lucretiarose0 wrote, “The Fiesta potatoes are so bomb though and one tiny order is never enough no matter your size.”

What’s the hype around Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes from Taco Bell?

Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes is one of Taco Bell’s more popular items. It is basically seasoned potatoes topped with warm Nacho Cheese sauce and Reduced-fat sour cream, and tastes absolutely bomb. As of this writing, a single serving of the item costs about $2.99 and contains 240 calories. It is a rich source of Fat and sodium.

Those ordering Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes can choose to modify their orders to their liking. They can make it Supreme by adding sour cream and tomatoes, or Fresco by replacing dairy and mayo sauces with pico de gallo. They can also upgrade their orders by adding Creamy Jalapeño Sauce, Guacamole, Onions, and Three-Cheese Blend. They can also add on, such as Cheese, tomatoes, Lettuce, Onions, Beans, Jalapeño Peppers, Seasoned Beef, Chicken, and many more.
