It has been an eventful 12 months for Welsh rugby.
Under Wayne Pivac, shocking Wales defeats to Italy in the Six Nations and Georgia during the autumn were sandwiched by a first ever win against the Springboks on South African soil in July. In the end, though, a dismal autumn campaign which yielded just one win from four caught up with Pivac, who was sacked just a year out from the Rugby World Cup and replaced by the returning Warren Gatland.
Wales Women took their first steps into professionalism back in January, had their best Six Nations finish in 13 years and reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup, being knocked out by eventual winners New Zealand.
