The U.S. military will host the inaugural Western Hemisphere Defense Ministers Conference, led by Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Dan Cain. Feb. 11: Hainan duty-free shops open
The first batch of duty-free shops designated for island residents is scheduled to open in Hainan province. Outlets will launch in commercial districts across Haikou, Sanya and Danzhou.

Bangladesh will hold parliamentary elections, the country’s first general vote since former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stepped down amid unrest 18 months ago. About 120 million eligible voters will also cast ballots in referendums on political reforms.

Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong will present the government’s fiscal 2026 budget statement to parliament. The plan is expected to address job stability and the rising cost of living.
Feb. 13: Hang Seng Index holds quarterly review
Hang Seng Indexes Co. Ltd. will announce the results of its fourth-quarter 2025 index series review. Changes to constituent stocks will take effect March 9. Analysts predict that more than 40 stocks could be added to the Stock Connect program with mainland bourses.
Feb. 15 - 23: Spring Festival holiday starts
The Chinese mainland will begin a nine-day public holiday for the Lunar New Year, running through Feb. 23. The Ministry of Transport has confirmed that tolls for small passenger vehicles will be waived during the break.
