A better future awaits in the land of the free. In The Thai Interpreter, Noot, a young girl played by Heen Sasithorn, takes a chance only to find herself trapped in a nightmare. Following a police raid, she struggles to make her voice heard until Ladawan, the film's lead character played by Skulgan Phiphobmongkol, steps in.
"I will interpret everything for you so you can understand everyone and everyone can understand you," Ladawan says.
This is part of a movie trailer that gives a snapshot of an interpreter's role in bridging the communication gap in critical moments. Produced by The Unbound Voices, The Thai Interpreter follows Ladawan's journey navigating personal and professional challenges.
