The visit to a pal's house which proved deadly two years later

Jeremy Fitzsimmons went to see his friend on a Friday. He had fallen out with Jimmy Walton, but had decided to go round and ask to borrow some cigarette papers.

Walton was not there when he arrived at the property in Blackpool. Instead, Tracey Simmonds, a drug user he had known since his school days, opened the door.

Inside, the mood was jovial and Mr Fitzsimmons was offered a can of lager which he drank with a group of other people who had congregated. The group laughed and joked, but when Walton returned the mood changed, Lancs Live reports.
