Whoopi Goldberg admitted she had to 'switch off' the Super Bowl after taking aim at organisers during a fiery rant on today's episode of The View.
The controversial TV presenter, 67, slammed the "awful turf" during this weekend's US playoff as she confessed being concerned "for all kinds of stuff".
She launched into a rant about the event while the panel began talking about the game, telling viewers that she "knows" they "don't care".
"That field was so awful," she said. "I have to tell you, I was watching and watching and I couldn't watch anymore because I was concerned people were slipping."
"I don't know what the hell they did to that field but it was awful," she blasted. "I'm saying it and I know you don't care but I care," she told viewers.
Despite her co-stars changing the subject several times, Whoopi continued to bring up the "awful" field a number of times, including before an ad break.
Speaking of the turf, again, she said: "They didn't put it down correctly, who decides to re-sod the damn field on Super Bowl. Whoever it is I'm looking for you."
As she continued shouting about the pitch, producers seemed to fade up music as the show prepared to head into a commercial break.
"I want you to come to our table and explain the thought behind that," she continued.
It comes after she made fun of The View fans as she revealed the panellists had a top-secret discussion during an advert break which she says will never be aired.
She mocked viewers and pretended to cry live on air while shouting "boo hoo".
During the show, Whoopi looked at the camera to introduce the next topic before bursting into a fit of laughter.
Trying to compose herself, she said: "I'm still trying to get over a conversation we just had in between which I can't really tell you about."
She then shouted: "So boo hoo," while scrunching her eyes and rubbing them with her fists.
Whoopi eventually managed to compose herself before introducing the next topic.
The actress was recently forced to speak out after being branded an "old broad" during a live broadcast of The View.
She was greeted by a cheering crowd as she entered the studio, but not all audience members were supportive of her.
As Whoopi opened the show, someone in the crowd heckled her. Turning to them, she asked: "Did you just call me an old broad?"
The panellist seemed to see the funny side as she told the audience: "It is Wednesday, and I am an old broad and happy about it."
